Job ID : 95255 Location Name : MD-PDC (0175) Address: 531 Chelsea Road, Perryman, MD 21130, United States (US) Job Type: Full Time Hourly/Salaried : Salaried Position Type: Regular Employee Job Function: Logistics/Operations POSITION SUMMARY: Sephora's Logistics Safety Manager will be responsible for partnering with all operations team in our distribution network to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and federal regulations. This individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our teams. The Safety Manager must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis. The Safety Manager must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. This individual must instruct and train Operations Leaders in company safety policies and assist the regional teams in incorporating our safety standards at their site. The Safety Manager will be required to identify best practices and incorporate these best practices into our standards to continuously improve company safety policies. The Safety Manager will be required to possess excellent safety program and relevant safety, environmental and ergonomic knowledge and demonstrates this expertise when working with Operations. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with operations and business partners to build a behavioral base safety program. Researches new regulations and developments in the field of Health and Safety and recommend changes in the company's program. Conducts routine site visits and safety audits. Coordinates with insurance carrier's safety engineers. Serves as primary point of contact for Shipping of Hazardous Materials. Develop and drive DC wide safety program and initiatives. Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Sephora Safety Policies. Measure the DC network performance against published requirements in safety policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies. Ensure safety recordkeeping and data integrity and provides Operations with accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives. Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations. Produce and analyze safety metrics and review incident trends to discover trends and act on the areas where the safety risk is highest. Lead the development of emergency response program. Act as a consultant for Operations and Human Resources in Workers Compensations claims and investigations. Audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent. Spend time at the distribution centers and seek input from Safety teams, Associates and leaders on safety program improvement opportunities. Ensure open communication on status of progress and resolution against these suggestions. Lead soft tissue injury reduction efforts with the Operations teams based on the risks identified in each task (force, repetition, and awkward postures). Partner with on-site Training Manager to ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required safety training. Review for effectiveness the deployed safety tools and revise to ensure continual improvement. REQUIREMENTS: 7-10+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations. Experience in building and developing current safety program Experience implementing process improvement in an operational environment. Experience leading change in multiple site environments and managing multiple direct reports. BS/BA in safety, environmental, ergonomics or a related field required Must be willing to travel up to 25% Certified Safety Professional preferred (CSP) Master's degree preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with Directors and VPs Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies based on broader organization goals. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
