Location: Perryman, MD Salary: Open Description: Our client is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician in the Perryman, MD area.
This is a unique role, as it is a part-time job working exclusively on weekends for the holiday season.

com GREAT way to make some extra holiday cash! The Desktop Support Analyst will be customer service driven and work closely with our clients to provide quick and effective resolution to system inefficiencies.
As part of the Desktop Team, this individual will support the enterprise desktop environment, and assist the Network, Server, and Telecom teams located in San Francisco in resolving any related issues.
Skills: o Strong Desktop (Windows 7) o 2008/2012 Server Admin.
, Active Directory, o TCP/IP, Wireless exp.
(iPhone & Laptop), o MS Office 2013/O365 Suite.
o Laser printer, Barcode printer and RF scanner experience are a huge plus.
Responsibilities: o Research, resolve, and respond to end-user issues/problems/questions received mainly through "Service Now", our call tracking software, but occasionally via email, telephone calls, or escalations, and provide support on desktop systems, in accordance with current standards and SLA's.
o Work with vendors to ensure service level agreements are met and equipment is maintained.
o Provide regular tracking of desktop, printer and server inventory.
o Provide remote and hands on support to all corporate desktops, laptops, iPhones, scan guns, peripherals, printers, including additional hardware/software requests.
o Assist with projects and long term planning of warehouse management.
o Create and/or maintain clear documentation pertaining to the desktop environment.
o Be willing to offer assistance to team members at other DCs in resolving complex issues.
o Evaluate existing processes and create automated solutions to better support the business.
Requirements: o Strong customer focus and a sincere desire to provide outstanding support and service.
o Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
o Must be a quick learner of new equipment and processes.
Reliable when assigned a task, and quick to ask questions when uncertain.
o Must be comfortable working with all levels of the organization as well as all technologies used in our DC environment and understanding levels of associates.
o Current MCSE or working toward it, or 5+ years of Desktop Support experience providing support for a large (300+ end user) environment.
o Must have a solid understanding of and experience using Active Directory.
o Strong understanding of the Windows family of operating systems, including file systems, the registry, security, integration and Exchange.
o Flexibility in work schedule, off hours for project implementation and possible 24X7 on-call support.
Pluses: o Laser printer basic repair and troubleshooting.
o Zebra printer basic repair and troubleshooting.
o Power Shell and environmental scripting.
o Experience of warehouse operations, including the flow of materials from inbound receipt to outbound shipping also a plus.
o Some project management experience and change management skills are helpful.
o Technical writing experience .

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
